If you’re fond of fried eggs and want to cook them quickly, you can use the microwave for that. It won’t make the frying egg hassle-some like cooking on the stove.

Here are the guidelines to follow for frying eggs.

Step 1: Lightly Grease the Microwave Safe Dish

First off, take a microwave-safe dish or a pie plate for cooking the egg. I am using the microwave-safe dish for frying my egg.

With a brush, spread a little amount of melted butter or cooking oil onto the plate. Don’t apply the excess oil; it is just for removing the dryness of the dish.

Step 2: Crack the Egg

Crack the egg, bring it out from the shell, and take on the greased oven-safe plate.

Step 2: Break the Egg’s Yolks and Whites

Gently break the egg’s yolks and whites with the knife’s tip so that egg scatters from its place. You can also use your spoon’s tip instead of the knife for pricking the egg.

Sprinkle a pinch of salt as you like. You can also use spice, black paper, green leaves to get an extra taste.

Step 3: Wrap the EGG Containing Dish

Wrap the egg’s plate with a plastic wrapper and make sure there’s no hole around the plate.

Step 4: Set the Cooking Time of Microwave for EGG Frying

Set the microwave at 140-degree Fahrenheit temperature for 2-3 minutes. Press the microwave’s start button and wait for the given time.

Step 5: Bring Out the EGG from the Microwave and Serve it

After 2 to 3 minutes, bring out the cup from the microwave and remove the plastic wrapper. You’ll get a finely fried egg that won’t fall from the cup even if you reverse the cup.

Here’s your fried egg ready. Now, it’s time to serve it.

Like me, poached eggs are favorite to lots of people. No matter how many poached eggs we consume, we cannot overcome it.

If you also love poached eggs and want to poach an egg in the microwave, then follow our given procedures.

Step 1: Fill the Custard Cup and Crack the EGG

Fill your custard cup with ½ cup of water and crack an egg into it. When you break the egg and put it into the water, it should get submerged.

Step 2: Prick the EGG yolk if You Want

Gently prick the egg yolk a little with a spoon or knife if you don’t like the runny yolk. But, if you love the runny egg yolk, then you better not break it.

Sprinkle a little amount of salt to add a taste to the egg.

Step 3: Wrap the Custard Cup

Like previously, wrap the custard cup with a plastic wrapper; this step will avoid egg explosion into the microwave.

Step 4: Set the Microwave Timer for EGG Poaching

It is time to set the microwave time that depends on the poached type you like. If you want the egg yolk to get thickened, then set the microwave timer for 1 to 2 minutes.

Conversely, if you like the runny egg folk, then 60-70 seconds will be enough to poach the egg.

Obviously, the time could vary based on your microwave’s type and power of electricity. So, during the first-time cooking, you better observe the egg over the clear wrapper of the custard cup.

Step 5: Take Out the Submerged EGG from the water

After the certain times when the microwave alerts, bring out the egg cup from the machine. Use a slotted spoon and consciously take out the egg from the cup’s water and serve it.

Step 1: Submerge the Entire EGGS into Water

Refill an oven-safe bowl with water. Take 4 eggs in an oven-safe bowl, and submerge them into the water. Put half tablespoon of salt in the egg’s bowl.

Step 2: Set the Time and Start the Microwave

Now, put the bowl in your microwave for boiling. Set the time of the microwave for 10 minutes and start the microwave.

Here, I must say that the time for boiling the egg might vary depending on your microwave types and power supply.

Step 3: Take Out the EGG’s Bowl from The Microwave

Now, the 10 minutes is over!

If you have an alert-giving microwave, then it should make a sound after ending 10 minutes. Now, carefully take out the egg’s bowl from the microwave. Shift the eggs from hot water to a bowl of cold water using a spoon.

Step 4: Peel off

Keep the eggs in the cold water for 2 minutes to cool them. After 2 minutes, take out eggs from the bowl one after one.

Peel off the eggs and serve it as whole or slicing with your favorite dish.

Your eggs are now ready to eat!

The Sum Up!

The explosion is the common scenario in the microwave when you try to cook an egg. So, I came with three different types of egg cooking methods that I have tried.

Almost all the Egg cooking types are similar to each other. There might be a slight change in setting the microwave timer.
